Get One of the Best Holiday Trees in Town and Support Redwood Heights School
Having worked with the same local distributor for many years, the Redwood Heights School (RHS) Dads' Club has access to outstanding fresh Noble fir and Douglas fir trees and wreaths for the holiday season. Pre-ordered trees will be available for pickup at RHS on December 6, 13, and 20 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. For a modest fee, a tree can also be delivered directly to your home within five miles of the school.
All trees must be pre-ordered by 10 a.m. on the Thursday before the delivery date. Order forms are available at the school office, or they can be downloaded from the RHS Web site at http://rhs.ousd.ca.campusgrid.net/home. For your convenience, the Dads' Club offers a safe, Web-based ordering process that accepts credit cards, too.

Secret Nutcracker Ballet in Redwood Heights'
The Ronn Guidi Foundation for the Performing Arts and Oakland Ballet Academy present The Secret Nutcracker Ballet at Holy Names University (HNU). Featuring both professional dancers and students of the Oakland Ballet Academy, this special production highlights the talented dancers right in our own community.'
HNU is located in Redwood Heights, adjacent to Hwy 13 at 3500 Mountain Blvd. near the Lincoln Square Shopping Center (Redwood Rd).'
Matinee and evening performances will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday December 12, 13, and 14. All tickets are reserved seating. Grand Nutcracker at the Paramount Theatre
Neighborhood native Ronn Guidi and the Oakland Ballet Company are also gearing up for the 36th Anniversary of the Nutcracker ballet with seven performances at the historic Paramount Theatre (December 18-24). Guidi's Nutcracker has long been enchanting audiences of all ages and will light up Oakland's holiday season again with Michael Morgan conducting members of the Oakland East Bay Symphony. Filled with stunning costumes and sets, complete with a living tree, this Nutcracker is a beloved treasure.
Local celebrities will join in on the fun for an All-Star Matinee on Saturday, December 20. Oakland Ballet welcomes back our very special All-Stars Tony La Russa, Elaine La Russa; John Evans, KDFC; Frank Somerville, KTVU2, and more.
